Samadhan autism treatment in india is a registered Non-Profit Organisation that works towards the betterment of children with intellectual disabilities and their mothers. It works with the belief that an intellectually disabled child can be helped if appropriate and timely services are provided to it.
1. Community Outreach:
This involves organising Community Awareness Programmes about disability and discussion with mothers of disabled child and key persons of the society. It also includes training volunteers to identify children with disability in society.
2. Rehabilitation Services:
This involves identifying children with intellectual disability in the society by the trained volunteers and bringing them to rehabilitation clinics for further assessment. The child is provided with professional assessment, screening, diagnosis, therapy and specific programmes as per the need identified.
3. Early Intervention:
This programme is designed for children in the age range of 0-6 years. The infants and toddlers identified by the trained community workers from various sources including those referred by local clinics and NGO’s. Based on the diagnosis of the paediatrician, therapies and structured special education curriculum is designed.
4. Special Education:
This programme involves special education, therapeutical and diagnostic services provided to children with intellectual disability. Teacher to student ratio at the school is 1:5. The education and training is planned as per the Individual Education Plan designed for each child based on assessment and clinical reference.
5. Inclusive Pre-school:
This involves children with or without disability studying together in an inclusive set up.
