Mission of the foundation is to maximise the potential of each child with multiple disabilities, by providing a nurturing environment that offers customised, comprehensive and cost effective services and equips parents with the knowledge and confidence to sustain the child’s development.
1. Special Education Programme:
H G Hanmante School for Special children is a wing of Muskan Foundation which provides quality education based on need of the child. Two children with same combinations of disabilities cannot share similar programme because they have their own set of experience, medical condition, etc and hence child centered plans are designed for every child. 1:1 teacher child ratio and continuous revision of education plans & strategies are its main features.
2. Early Intervention Programme:
Shardaben G Shah Early Intervention Unit provides services to children as early as when they are 3 months old. Early Intervention include structured assessment, diagnosis and treatment by a team of professionals and to start working with the parent to improve child’s physical, emotional, sensory and expressive communication skills. The centre also provides necessary counseling and support to parents.
J V Gandhi Therapy centre works for overall development of the child and provides necessary therapies based on need and age.
4. Pre-vocational Training
With an aim that every child with multiple disabilities should be able to live independent, confident and happy life, children at Muskan Foundation are provided with pre- vocational training in simple packaging, art &craft, etc as they transit from childhood to adolescent.
