Dhaithree aims at providing all possible facilities to the children with special needs from education, training, therapy to job, etc so that they can lead a respectful and empowered life in the society.
Dhaithree educates, trains and provides services to children with any kind of disability and also children with multiple disability. Also Dhaithree runs 4 schools for special children, one along with hostel for boys above 12 years of age. It also has 5 clinics in 5 different slum places in Bangalore. Along with this it carries out training programmes, medical camps and awareness programs regularly.
1. Special schools:
Dharithree runs 4 special schools in bangalore to help special kids with educational facility at the nearest available location with the name Belaku and Ajita Chetana. These schools consist of children belonging to the lower economic group of the society.
The school aims at providing residential facility to these special children where they can be treated with love, care and emotion.
3. Vocational training:
Dharithree has 2 separate vocational training unit to train these special children and provide them with job opportunity. Nandagokula unit is a cow shed wherein the individuals are trained to improve their dairy skills as a part of vocational training.
Aadhar is another unit where these children are trained in agriculture, horticulture sector, etc.
4. Rural Development:
Gram Vikas and samruddhi are the 2 rural development programmes taken up by this centre to encourage rural people nd to empower rural women to grow economically and to become self dependent.
Dharithree has a separate Therapy block which provides therapy to the children with special needs based on assessment and need of each individual.
