A project of Hindu Seva Pratishthan, Aruna Chetana School support for autism in india was started in the year 1987 with a strength of 5 students. The school, over the last decade has trained and rehabilitated a large number of children suffering from ailments like Cerebral palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular dystrophy, Autism, Dyslexia, hearing and visual impairment, behaviour and emotional disorders, etc. Aruna Chetana helps to bring about a change in the life of these children. It helps them to learn, builds their confidence and makes them look at their disabilities as challenges. This brings about a change in the inner selves of these children. They become self dependent. They gain greater social acceptance.
