ADAPT (Able Disabled All Together) which was earlier known as Spastics Society Of India was started for the children who are marginalised from the main stream education and are provided with all possible facilities and services under one roof. This is one of the autism treatment in india.
Adapt has different branches in Mumbai for different areas like special school, job development centre, resource centre etc to provide these children with educational ,vocational and pre-vocational training and placement so that the individual can earn its living when it grows up.Aim of this centre is to provide early intervention program, special education so that they can make it into a mainstream school.
The job development centre provides post educational skills development training for the 16 plus age group. NJDC has aimed at assisting young adults with disability to equip themselves with necessary job and social skills, required to complete for jobs in the mainstream employment market. Training Programmes available at NJDC includes:

Spoken and written language skills

1. Advanced Pre-vocational Training Programme:
This training programme is a one year bridge course for students from special schools, school dropouts and young adults from unschooled backgrounds. It is specially designed to prepare students to take up the vocational training challenges.
2. Demonstration Resource Unit:
NJDC has demonstration resource unit for providing sheltered workshop training for students in simple work activities and in making simple craft items.
3. Educational Activities:
NJDC follows curriculum of National Open School and offers part time coaching for class 10th and 12th.
4. Job placement cell:
NJDC’s job placement cell in past two decades has trained over 700 students both disabled and non-disabled and has placed over 500 students and made them economically rehabilitated. The aim of the cell is to train and employ adults with disabilities.
5. Inclusive job fair:
ADAPT organises regular job fair for disabled candidates to provide a platform for interaction between the candidate and the employer. Under this the candidate is provided with pre-placement training, placement and post placement support services.
